There was pandemonium at the University of Benin today Monday December 9th as members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) UNIBEN chapter disrupted an ongoing lecture at the Faculty of Law at the university. Some UNIBEN lecturers resumed last week following the Federal Government’s directive to resume work and as one lecturer gathered his students to begin his class, The Union members stormed the lecture room and stopped it. The Vice Chancellor of the University was forced to call the police to intervene but the unrelenting ASUU task force members clashed with them, putting an end to all on-going lectures at the University. The strike continues. The university of lagos (UNILAG) also resumed yesterday,as some engineering students confirm to have received lectures for the most hours of yesterday.

South African Government have announced the death of Nelson Mandela. South Africa president Jacob Zuma announced that the former president and anti-apartheid revolutionary passed away peacefully in the company of his family in his home this evening December 5th. A teenage girl dug herself out of shallow grave after she was raped by two men and buried alive. The 13-year-old was snatched while walking to Koran lessons from her local village in Punjab and raped by the men in an isolated area. Ho Lung sits calmly in a hospital examination room with a 10 INCH knife buried in his skull. The got a fruit knife into his head after a prank with friends went terribly wrong. Following the unpleasant incident he walked into the local hospital and told the shocked staff: "I'd like to see a doctor please." He was so calm that the medical staff first even thought he was kidding. But when the man leaned down for one of the medics to have a closer look, she really realized he had been badly injured.
